Bay to Ocean Writers Conference

If you want to be a writer, you must take yourself seriously, or no one else will.

Don’t write to get rich.  Don’t write to get famous.  Write for your own enjoyment and you can’t miss.

Since 2001 Diane has helped coordinate the Bay to Ocean Writers Conference, which is held at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  This conference attracts more than 200 attendees from a seven-state area.

The one-day program includes speakers covering a wide range of topics, including:  book publishing options, marketing for books, literary agents, poetry, freelance writing for magazines and newspapers, writing for television and movies, nonfiction, social media for writers, journalism, all genres of fiction, and much more.

The next Bay to Ocean Writers Conference will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014. This conference sells out in advance, so be sure to register early. The program and registration information are available on If you have other questions, contact or contact me through this website.
